The Audience Tab in the dashboard is where you can manage your newsletter subscribers, create groups, and set up integrations with CRM tools. Let’s go over the key features and how to use them effectively.

Groups

Purpose: Groups allow you to organize your email subscribers. You might create groups like "Test Group" for internal testing or "Subscribers" for your audience.

How-to Add a Group:

  • Click Add New Group at the top right.
  • Assign a Title to your group.
  • Upload a subscriber list in CSV format to populate the group.

Features:

  • Test Group: Use this group to test your newsletters before sending them to subscribers.
  • Subscribers: Add your actual newsletter audience here.
  • Option to Merge Groups, Download CSV files, or Delete Groups.

2. Sub-Segmentation

If you upload a large subscriber list (over 2,000 contacts), the system automatically breaks it into cohorts of increasing sizes (e.g., 2,000, 4,000, 8,000). This ensures better organization and delivery.

Step 1: Setting Up Native Integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot, Keep, GoHighLevel)

If you're using Salesforce, HubSpot, Keep, or GoHighLevel, follow these steps to integrate your CRM with Daily.ai:

  1. Go to the Dashboard: Log into your Daily.ai account and navigate to the Audience tab.
  2. Select Integrations: Click on the "Integrations" section where you will see icons for each supported CRM.

Zapier is a no-code automation tool that connects different apps and services. In this case, you’ll use Zaps (automated workflows) to trigger actions like syncing new subscribers between your CRM and Daily.ai.

Supported Zaps:

  • New Subscriber in CRM to Daily.ai: Sync new subscribers from your CRM to Daily.ai.
  • New Subscriber in Daily.ai to CRM: Sync subscribers added in Daily.ai to your CRM.
  • Unsubscribe in CRM to Daily.ai: Automatically unsubscribe users from Daily.ai when they unsubscribe in your CRM.
  • Unsubscribe in Daily.ai to CRM: Automatically unsubscribe users in your CRM when they unsubscribe from Daily.ai.

Step-by-Step Zapier Integration:

  1. Create a Zapier Account: If you don’t have one, sign up at Zapier.
  2. Get Daily.ai Zapier Invitation: In your Daily.ai dashboard under the Audience tab, click on the Zapier integration link to receive an invite.
  3. Accept Invite: Open the invitation link, accept the invite, and create a new Zap.
  4. Set Up Your Zap:
    • Trigger: Select your CRM as the trigger app (e.g., Google Sheets, Zoho). For example, if using Google Sheets, select “New Row” as the trigger to represent a new subscriber.
    • Action: Choose Daily.ai for the action step. Authenticate by entering your API key and User ID from your Daily.ai Zapier integration settings.
  5. Map Data Fields: Map the necessary fields, such as subscriber email, from your CRM to Daily.ai.
  6. Test the Zap: Run a test to ensure the integration works. If successful, your Zap is now active.
  7. Final Verification: Go to the Audience tab in Daily.ai and check under "Groups" to confirm the subscriber was added.

Step 3: Setting Up Additional Zaps for Unsubscribes

To manage unsubscribes, set up these two additional Zaps:

  • Unsubscribe from CRM to Daily.ai: Choose your CRM as the trigger and Daily.ai as the action to automate unsubscribes from CRM to Daily.ai.
  • Unsubscribe from Daily.ai to CRM: Set Daily.ai as the trigger and your CRM as the action to sync unsubscribes back to your CRM.

These additional Zaps will ensure that unsubscribe actions are synced in both systems, preventing outdated or inaccurate subscriber data.


Tips and Best Practices

  • Run Tests: Always test your Zaps with sample data to confirm they work properly before going live.
  • Monitor Zap History: In Zapier, use the Zap Runs feature to check your automation history and confirm Zaps are working correctly.
  • Set Up Bi-Directional Syncing: For a full two-way sync, set up all four Zaps (for new subscribers and unsubscribes in both directions) to ensure data is fully synchronized between Daily.ai and your CRM.
